The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization under the Government of India responsible for recruiting staff for various posts in the different ministries, departments, and subordinate offices of the government. Established in 1975, SSC plays a crucial role in conducting examinations and recruitment processes for non-gazetted positions across the country.

Other Criteria of SSC Constable Recruitment 2024
Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India. Vacancies in CAPFs & AR are State/UT/area wise, hence a candidate must submit a domicile certificate/ PRC against his domiciled state/ UT.
Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University.
Age Limit: Candidate age must be between 18 to 23 years as on 1st January 2025. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02-01-2002 and later than 01-01-2007 in normal course.
Age Relaxation: Permissible relaxations in upper age limit for different categories are as under:

The selection process of SSC Constable GD will consist of following stages:
A) Computer Based Examination (CBE)
B) Physical Standard Test (PST)
C) Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
D) Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/ Review Medical Examination (RME) and
E) Document Verification
