About Staff Selection Commission (SSC)
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization under the Government of India that recruits staff for various posts in the different Ministries, Departments, and Subordinate Offices. Established in 1975, SSC conducts exams and interviews to ensure a transparent and efficient selection process for Group B and C positions in the government sector.

Pay Scale: Rs. 18000- 56900/- (Level 1 as per 7th CPC pay Matrix)
Other Criteria of SSC Recruitment
Age Limit: The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:
# 18-25 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02.08.1999 and not later than 01.08.2006) for MTS.
# 18-27 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02.08.1997 and not later than 01.08.2006) for Havaldar in CBIC and CBN, Department of Revenue and a few posts of MTS in various departments.
Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.
# SC/ ST: 5 years
# OBC: 3 years
# PwBD (Unreserved): 10 years
# PwBD (OBC): 13 years
# PwBD (SC/ ST): 15 years
# Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 03 years
Educational Qualification: The candidates must have passed Matriculation Examination or equivalent from a recognized Board.
